SuperMagnetMan is the e-commerce brand of SM Magnetics, here to make it easy to get the magnets you need for prototyping, testing, or small-scale use. When you're ready for a custom solution—whether that’s a fully engineered magnetic system, simulation support, or a complete assembly—our team at SM Magnetics is ready to help you bring it to life.

About the Product

Neodymium pyramid magnets pair a compact base with a tapered profile that aids registration and anti-slip behavior in fixtures and positioning prototypes. Axial magnetization through height produces strong normal pull to steel while the geometry helps locate parts repeatably. Check holding force with the calculator for your steel and gap, review grade and temperature margins in the material data, and consider protective coatings to improve edge durability in iterative testing.

Pyramids

We have added these to our holographic biological signaling and are evaluating. I thought the magnets would be a bit small but they seem fine.
We are using them as one of the drivers for our vortexes.

Love the Pyramid, 9/10 would purchase similar ones.

The pyramid shape on the magnet is very interesting to play/experiment with. I bought two, the North and South versions. I am always interested in unique magnet shapes to experiment with different field types and interactions. New applications can be found. If a tiny version of the pyramid is ever for sale I would definitely buy multiple as currently the large pyramid interacting with my smaller magnets is a very overpowering field. Still, it is incredibly handy to have. One of my pyramid magnets broke, a very large portion of the base riding almost up to the tip broke off, when it collided with the other pyramid (opps, first time playing with strong magnets gotta learn their brittleness somehow.... Use gloves and goggles!). Once again... new shape, new field. Very interesting and cool to experiment with. Highly recommend one "strange/different" shaped magnet with any first time purchase.
I'd also buy another pyramid if the poles were split down the center on the Z axis if possible.
9/10 because I wish the brittleness of Neodymium magnets was more well known before the purchase. It was very upsetting at first but once learning that this is what happens always unless your gentle/know what your doing I was okay with it.
