SuperMagnetMan is the e-commerce brand of SM Magnetics, here to make it easy to get the magnets you need for prototyping, testing, or small-scale use. When you're ready for a custom solution—whether that’s a fully engineered magnetic system, simulation support, or a complete assembly—our team at SM Magnetics is ready to help you bring it to life.

About the Product

Magnetic caps (also known as cup magnets or pot magnets) use a steel cup to direct and concentrate the magnetic field, significantly increasing holding force on a small footprint. These assemblies are perfect for clamping fixtures, workholding jigs, signage mounts, and removable fastenings. The steel cup also provides mechanical protection and improves durability. Select the size and grade needed for your holding force requirement, and review mounting options such as countersunk holes, threaded studs, or through-bores for your design.

Timely Deliver and Quality Product

These rare earth cup magnets work great. I used six (6) of them on three outlet strips mounted on the steel framework of workbenches. Steel frame thickness is ~0.125" in each case. So, the magnet's flux does not saturate the steel...they hold as if they were bolted in place. In fact, these magnets saved me from drilling holes in the workbench frames. Great product.
