Sphere Magnets produce a magnetic field that flows from the north point on the sphere to the south pole on the sphere. This magnetic field forms a pattern that resembles a spider. The round shape of the sphere pushes the magnetic field out on the points of the sphere that are 90 degrees from the poles.
Sphere magnets are most commonly used as sensor magnets, consumer electronics magnets, medical magnets and jewelry magnets. Their magnetic field and round shape give them the flexibility to fit into smaller applications where a round hole or holder is present, or the magnets need to stack together like a bracelet or necklace.
Sphere magnets are unique in their manufacturing process. These magnets must be mass produced due to the manufacturing process and cost, which means the minimum order quantity (MOQ) can be very high, especially for sizes under 10 mm.
The coating on a sphere magnet is mainly used for cosmetic purposes. Sphere magnets are usually coated in nickel, however the nickel coating can have a color additive to achieve the different colors that are available.
