About the Product
Samarium Cobalt disc magnets deliver high thermal stability and corrosion resistance for prototypes that run hot or operate in aggressive environments. Compared with neodymium, SmCo maintains magnetic performance at elevated temperatures and offers very high intrinsic coercivity (Hci), resisting demagnetization under load or reverse fields. Engineers use SmCo discs in motors and actuators, high-speed sensors/encoders, and test rigs where dimensional stability and repeatable pull are critical. During test-fit, estimate holding force and safety factors with the pull-force calculator, review material data (Br, BHmax, curves) to validate operating margins, and select coatings to match fluids, sterilization, or salt exposure. Prototype-friendly MOQs and stocked sizes let you validate fit, clearance, and thermal behavior before moving to production; custom sizes and coatings are available via RFQ.
